Staples Launches "Easy 3D" Printing Service
FRANKFURT, Germany, November 2012 --Full colour and low cost make 3D printing accessible to everyone
In a giant step toward the reality of 3D printing for all, Mcor Technologies Ltd has struck a deal with Staples Printing Systems Division to launch a new 3D printing service called "Staples Easy 3D," online via the Staples Office Centre.

Staples' Easy 3D will offer consumers, product designers, architects, healthcare professionals, educators, students and others low-cost, brilliantly coloured, photo-realistic 3D printed products from Staples stores. Customers will simply upload electronic files to the Staples Office Centre and pick up the models in their nearby Staples stores, or have them shipped to their address. Capital Group Pvt. Ltd. recently acquired Yestar India Retail and plans to open over 100 Imagenation stores over the next two years, providing quality digital printing and finishing services to its business customers.
Xerox India announced its partnership with Yestar India Retail Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Capital Group Pvt. Ltd. Singapore. Xerox will become the technology provider for their chain of Imagenation stores in India. Samsung To Issue Firmware Fix For Printer Security Flaw
Samsung said disabling older versions of SNMP on the printers would protect them, contradicting an earlier security warning from US-CERT
Samsung Electronics will close a security hole in the firmware of some of its printers by issuing an update on Friday, and said they could be protected by disabling SNMP.

Smartphone Study is Good News for Apple, Bad News for Canon
Apple Samsung, Nokia , Research In Motion and other smartphone manufacturers can rejoice in the news that consumers are repeatedly turning to their cellular devices to perform a wide array of tasks.
According to PCMag, 82 percent of smartphone users turn on the device just to take a picture, while 80 percent turn it on to send or receive a text message. More than half (56 percent) turn it on to surf the Web; 50 percent do so to send or receive an e-mail.
These findings are not as surprising as they are damaging to companies that produce specific-use devices. Canon , for example, does not make cellular devices...Read More>>
