    Apple Now Has $137.1B In Cash, More Than HP’s total Revenue  

    Let’s put Apple’s amazing cash on hand numbers into perspective once again. The company now has $137.1 billion in cash — a 12.9 percent increase from the last reported number, $121.3 billion. With such a big figure, it’s hard to realize how big it actually is. In 2012, HP had $120.4 billion of annual revenue. Apple slightly edges HP’s revenue with its cash.     Sony (Low On Cash) Sells Its U.S. headquarters For $1.1B  

    As part of its efforts to turn its ongoing money troubles around, Sony has sold its New York City-based U.S. headquarters to a commercial properties consortium for $1.1 billion.
    After repaying any debt related to the Madison Avenue Building, Sony says that it will receive around $770 million in cash proceeds from the sale, with about $685 million of that recorded as operating income. The sale is expected to close in March...Read More

    It's no longer legal for households or businesses to throw out old computers or TVs with the garbage.
    Starting today, all "covered" electronic devices and components can't go into a landfill. They must go instead to a state-certified recycling facility.
    The Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority — which started collecting discarded electronics for recycling for free in July 2011 — is handling that task in Monroe County from its Blakeslee facility in New Ventures Industrial Park, just off Interstate 80....Read More
